Well here goes nothing!

Okay folks, this is my first time to blog so just bear with me while I try to figure this out!

I just checked out Melissa and Brenda's pages and boy I know I don' t have their gift for expressing myself! Yes, Melissa teal duct tape is worth getting excited about!

Well I guess I should start this off with my God is so amazing! Satan has really been trying to mess with our church...Brenda and her cracked tooth, Wayne has just been bombarded with distractions, and I just can't seem to get organized with VBS. But just like God in all of His wonderful wisdom...every scripture I have read lately just speaks to my heart about how much He wants us to spend time with Him, put Him first in everything, just to spend time in presence! I know that no matter how much or little I do to prepare for VBS, He knows exactly who will be there and He knows their heart and who will come to Him during this most exciting time!

I do need to tell you that Brenda Myers and I just had the most wonderful time at a women's BFW retreat! For this little Baptist girl it sure was an eye-opener but it was amazing to know that my God wants to spend time with me and He really wants me to talk to him like I would my very best friend! Thank You for sending your son, Jesus to die for me!!!! I am very thankful for this especially since I nearly missed this whole wonderful life by 18 inches....the distance from my head to my heart! While we were at this retreat I had 3 prophetic readings and it was so exciting to get confirmation on some things that God was trying to reveal to me for many years.

We meet some wonderful ladies! It was so much more than I could of ever expected. I made so many great friends that I hope will continue to grow.

Okay I know this is probably a little confusing to some but as I have been told over and over I am after all random/abstract! So you just have to deal with it!

God bless each and everyone of you and may your walk be closer to Jesus everyday!

Melissa you and the boys are top of my prayers everyday and I love you guys so much!

Brenda you are the greatest....would'nt know what to do without ya!

Lyndsey you are a million times better than I ever dreamt for a daughter...I am sooo proud of you!

toodles!

This is my first attempt at blogging, so here goes nothing. This has been a very eventful year...and it is only getting better. November of 06 my husband leaves his job in which he only had 31/2 years till retirement to enter into full-time ministry. We have a daughter in her first year of college and we have no job on the horizon! But my God is a big God! NOT only did we find a wonderful church that hired Wayne and has just blessed our socks off but we also got debt-free, Lyndsey stayed in college and got my scholarships, and been blessed beyond words! Our church (which on our first Sunday had 8 members) is now running somewhere around 60-70 people and very much still growing! We have had some wonderful times...Our dear friend Tony was diagnosed with liver cancer and given 6-18 months to live is now cancer free!!!! His doctors are still trying to figure that one out ( they don't know just how big Our God is!!). When we got to UPBC there was one youth, we now have appox. 15-20 on average, Lyndsey is our summer youth intern and doing a wonderful job! Our son, David is just growing so much in his faith and is really bringing his friends to church! Wayne's preaching is really amazing (he did not grow up in church and came to know the Lord while in bootcamp) it still just amazes me to see how much God has done in his life!!!!

We have also had some sad times this year...we lost Wayne's sister to cancer in November and his dad in February. But the amazing thing about his dad is that at the age of 71 he finally gave his life to Christ! We are now taking care of his mother and trying to help my parents! It really stinks to have to be the parents to your parents ( my kids have forbidden us to grow old).

Please keep us in your prayers as we continue to walk in this ministry that God has so blessed us with!

If you are looking for a "real" church then just drop by anytime, we will love on you like you've never been loved on before and in my opinion it is one of the realist churches around! We are just plain folk trying to do the Lord's work and share the good news with everyone!

May God bless you in everything that you do and never forget to look for all the wonderful gifts He gives you everyday!
